桜の美しい季節ですね～
この美しさは、本当に日本独特のものですね。
今回は、桜を表現する英語をいくつかご紹介してみたいと思います。
私は桜の淡いピンクが大好きですが、pale（淡い）を使って、pale pinkとも表現できます。
今まさに満開ですが、咲くはbloomを使います。
咲き具合により色々な表現があります。
The cherry blossoms are in full bloom. 満開です。
The cherry blossoms are half in bloom. ５分咲き
The cherry blossoms are one-third in bloom. ３分咲き（これは分数の言い方で３分の１を表します）
もう少し簡単に言うには、
Fifty percent of the blossoms are open. ５０％の花が咲いている、
Thirty percent of the blossoms are open. 30%の花が咲いている、
というような表現もできます！
お花見はcherry blossom viewingなどと言えます。

こんなに美しい桜なのに、咲いている期間は短いですね。
終わりの頃には、以下のようなことも言いますね。
The cherry blossoms have passed their peak. ピークの時期が過ぎました。
The cherry blossom season is ending. 桜の季節が終わろうとしています。
The cherry blossoms are falling. 桜が散っています。
